Campus Safety

We want you to know that the safety of our students is our primary concern. CRY-ROP has a Comprehensive Safety Plan in place. This plan contains specific guidelines on procedures to keep our schools safe in an emergency. We continually train our staff on safety measures and regularly conduct drills to practice emergency procedures. CRY-ROP is committed and prepared for a possible crisis. We understand that knowing what to do when faced with a crisis can be the difference between calm and chaos.

The following are some tips to help continue our safety preparation, as well as tips to assist with the emotion of such events:

Tips to Help Be Safe

  • Model calm and controlled behavior
  • Be vigilant and aware of your surroundings
  • Report any type of suspicious behavior to CRY-ROP staff
  • Do not leave valuables unattended
  • Lock your vehicle
  • Have keys ready before you go out to the parking lot
  • Use the buddy system and travel in pairs
  • Recognize CRY-ROP employs trustworthy, trained staff

Tips to Address Emotions

  • Keep to your routine, keep structure at school
  • Think hopeful and positive thoughts
  • Share true feelings with others who will listen
  • Be a good listener, and take comments made by others seriously
  • Try not to stereotype and/or build false images about people
