It is important to us that our students obtain employment, continue their education, or join the military after they complete a program. To help provide support to our students, CRY-ROP offers workshops to help prepare our students and job seekers on how to secure employment. An effective resume will sell your skills and abilities to an employer and help you get an interview. Topics covered in this workshop will include how to format and develop an effective resume, how to "grow" your resume as you continue throughout school, how to formulate professional accomplishment statements, and resume do's and don’ts.
What you need to know before, during, and after the interview. Do you know what it takes to be a successful interviewee? This workshop will teach you what you need to do in order to put your best foot forward towards getting that job. The workshop will guide you from what to wear, how to act, provide you with sample questions, and ultimately prepare you to give an excellent interview that will help you land the job.
Where are the Jobs? The Hidden Job Market
Do you know where and how to find jobs? Learn a planned and diverse approach to finding job leads. In today’s economy, the same old way of doing things may not work! Come and learn how to develop job search strategies to land a job in today’s job market.
Networking Your Way to a Job
Networking pays off! Networking is your best return on investment when it comes to getting a job. Attend this workshop and learn what networking is, how to get started, basic tips on how to maintain and develop those contacts once they are made, and how to build new networks.
