Nursing Assistant - Certified & Careers in Healthcare

Congratulations as you have chosen to participate in the Nursing Assistant-Certified program here at the Colton-Redlands-Yucaipa ROP.  You are opening the door to a very rewarding experience and first steps to your future career in nursing or the medical field.

The registration process will confirm that you are equipped with the skills and knowledge necessary to succeed in your chosen program.  Please review the enrollment procedures and application process.  All registration requirements must be completed before the start of your program.  If you have any questions, please call (909) 793-3115 Ext. 500.

Last day of recruitment: August 27, 2021
Complete registration into class by meeting with your Career Readiness Specialist who can be found in the school’s Career Center or see your counselor.

To Register for the High School Nursing Assistant-Certified  Program

 
Registration Instructions:
Step 1.  Contact the Career Readiness Specialist at your school to receive a recommendation to apply for the program or call our Student Services office at (909) 793-3115 extension: 500.
 
Complete the Application and upload your resume.  Fill out application here: Nursing Assistant-Certified Application. Deadline to submit your completed application is: Friday, September 17, 2021 by 3:00pm.  All applications must be complete or they will not be considered.
 
Step 2.  On September 20-22 applications will be scored and candidates will be contacted via email. Candidates should accept the invitation by responding to the acceptance email.
 
Step 3: Acceptance emails will be sent to the candidates selected on September 23, 2021.
 
In addition to the acceptance email all candidates will receive emails from our registration system “Orbund” and candidates will complete the registration forms required to register into the program. Watch for the forms and if you have questions please contact the Student Services office at (909) 793-3115 extension 500.
 
Step 4: All accepted candidates must attend an Orientation meeting with their parent or guardian.  The orientation meetings will be held on: Wednesday, September 29th at 5:30-7:00pm and Thursday, September 30th from 4:00pm-5:30pm via Zoom.  The zoom link will be included in the acceptance email.
 
Once you have been accepted into the program you will be required to have a physical and TB screening.  DO NOT do this step until you have been accepted.  We will include the required forms in your acceptance email notification.
 
Other dates to keep in mind:
  • October 4th, 2021 is the first day of class
  • October 6th, 2021 all students will be required to bring their original social security card and their legal, current ID to class to be fingerprinted. Anyone not bringing in the required forms of ID will be dropped from the program.
 
All students will have to bring their original social security card or right to work document as well as their current, legal ID on the second day of class for to complete the fingerprinting process.
